Nia is the author of the Essential Guide to Normandy (AA Publishing) and has contributed features and articles to many non-fiction books covering travel and history, such as The Rough Guide to Corsica, Walks Through Great Britain's History, and many other titles for publishers such as Virgin, Which?, Michelin and Jarrolds.

Her other non-fiction writing includes articles and music reviews for magazines and newspapers including The Raconteur, BBC Magazine, Best, Women's Weekly, Health Today, The Salisbury Journal and many others.
