Love Online: the new romantic comedy by Andy Milburn and Nia gets its second staging by Starburst Theatre in July. Auditions will be held on 5 February.

Daddy's Girls: Nia's musical for three voices is out now on CD featuring Sarah Leatherbarrow, Rebecca Martin and Jane Hainsworth. The showcase performance was staged at the Burton Taylor Theatre on 27 November.

Nia's third novel, The Colour of Grass, published by Seren Books, was launched in Oxford on 5 April and included on the Woman magazine 'hotlist'. Book-signing in Waterstone's, Cardiff on 21 May. Available at bookshops and on Amazon.
At the Movies: Philip Hind's documentary The Ultimate Survivor, commemorating the centenary of Oxford's first purpose-built cinema and featuring Nia's original soundtrack, was screened at the Ultimate Picture Palace in February. For more information about the film see www.picturepalace.org.uk.
Exposure: Snapshots of New Opera: in February 2011 the Royal Opera staged a number of short operas by participants on its VOX/Singing Word project, among them Nia and composer Elizabeth Winters. Performances took place at the Linbery Theatre, Royal Opera House, 3-5 February. Click here for more information.
Choral Cantata:
A new composition by Malcolm Pearce, with lyrics by Nia, is set to be performed by the Oxford Pro Musica Singers. The theme is dance through the ages, and the choir is accompanied by a brass ensemble.

Songs of a Nervous City: Nia's first-hand account of preparing to perform a recital of avant-garde music is published in arts magazine The Raconteur
Bryn Hyfryd: Nia's short story (see below) is published in the first issue of literary magazine The Raconteur

A Story of Humanity: Nia is one of six authors commissioned by the Equality and Human Rights Commission to write a short story celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Her story Bryn Hyfryd portrays the isolated and fearful life of a carer struggling to get by.
National Year of Reading: as part of Llanelli's Community Reads campaign, Nia's novel Persons Living or Dead is one of ten titles shortlisted as a 'favourite read'
