Ruth Holleley founded Women of Note in 2006 to sing accompanied and a cappella works in a wide range of genres, including early music, classical and romantic, contemporary and swing. WoN have performed in music festivals, concerts and theatre, and at fetes, Burns Nights and other functions, as well as appearing on BBC South Today. Their repertoire includes work by local composers such as Malcolm Pearce and arrangements of swing standards by their MD and regular accompanist Nia Williams.
